Co-Chief Executive Officer/Co-President and Director
Carl H. Lindner III was elected Co-Chief Executive Officer in January 2005. He has served as Co-President and a director of American Financial Group since March 1996. He is Chairman of Great American Insurance Company and has been principally responsible for the Company's property and casualty insurance operations since 1987. He became involved in Great American’s property and casualty business in 1975 and has worked in varying roles of increasing responsibility over the years.

S. Craig Lindner was elected Co-Chief Executive Officer in January 2005. He has served as Co-President and a director of American Financial Group since March 1996. He is President and Chief Executive Officer of Great American Financial Resources, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of AFG that markets traditional fixed and fixed- indexed annuities in the retail, financial institutions and education markets. Mr. Lindner also oversees the investment portfolios of AFG and its affiliated companies. He has worked in various roles within the AFG affiliated companies since 1977.
Joseph E. (Jeff) Consolino

Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Joseph E. (Jeff) Consolino became a director of American Financial Group in December 2012 and executive vice president and chief financial officer in February 2013. From March 2006 to February 2013, Mr. Consolino was president and chief financial officer of Validus Holdings, Ltd., a reinsurer based in Bermuda. Until joining Validus, Mr. Consolino served as a managing director in the investment banking division of Merrill Lynch, specializing in insurance company advisory and financing transactions. Mr. Consolino also serves on the board of directors of Validus, as chairman of the board of National Interstate Corporation and as a director of AmWINS Group, Inc., a wholesale insurance broker based in North Carolina.
