Bob is married with two adult children and in his spare time plays the clarinet, enjoys golf, rowing, walking and NZSO concerts. David has worked for both insurance companies and adviser businesses in the UK and New Zealand, and has over 30 years’ experience in financial services, including roles in Underwriting, Product Development, Marketing and Sales. Having personally seen the positive difference that insurance can make to people’s lives, David has developed a passion for helping people understand the benefits of having the right insurance protection in place. David joined AdviceFirst in June 2016 bringing his specialist skill to help deepen Adviser capability and thereby deliver great outcomes for customers. Married to Leasa with 2 young boys, David enjoys spending time at home with the family and shuttling the kids to numerous sporting activities. David is a fanatical mountain biker and hits the trails at any opportunity.

Jermaine is an assistant for Wealth Management Advisers and their clients. Jermaine has over 13 years’ industry experience, and now specializes in helping clients take control of their KiwiSaver, to better prepare them for their retirement. Provides advice on integrating a clients’ financial situation to form one overall plan – including things like estate organisation, income protection, retirement savings and life insurance. John is married with three sons living in Plimmerton and enjoys fishing from his kayak out from Plimmerton Beach. 4 years’ experience providing strong administrative support for AdviceFirst’s new and existing business clients with general insurance. Specializes in workflow management by overseeing the full General Insurance client portfolio to ensure that all renewals are completed within the required time frame and that our clients’ receive the best possible service. Background at ACC includes Call Centre, Claim Assessment, Case Management, and staff management roles. Lynley likes to keep fit, travel, and enjoys photography, film and theatre.

Over 20 years’ senior management experience in financial services, including leadership positions in strategy, marketing, customer service and technology. Mark joined AdviceFirst in November 2013 bringing his specialist skills to help develop the business and its service for customers. First Class Honours degree from Massey University, Business Studies BBS, majoring in Marketing. Mark is married with 4 children and in his spare time enjoys going to the gym, shuttling and then watching his children at their various sporting endeavours.

With eight years' experience as a Financial adviser Mark offers personalized investment advice to his clients to create solutions built around their goals and has a keen interest in investment portfolio construction. Manages the development and implementation of HR strategies, policies and procedures to help support individuals and teams in our service to customers. Designs and manages specific projects related to AdviceFirst’s strategic business plan. HR Business Partner with AMP. Substantial experience with commercial, customer-focused businesses. Previous roles include: AMP HR Business Partner, Interislander HR Manager, The Specialised Containers Group HR Manager, Colgate-Palmolive NZ HR Advisor, and HR Administrator. Relaxation is enjoying time with family and friends.
Murray Pierce
Authorised Financial Adviser
Over 23 years’ financial industry experience, following a career with the New Zealand Police. Specialises in all types of insurance protection cover: life insurance, income protection, or domestic and commercial general insurance. An All Black from 1984-1990, he now enjoys leading All Black supporters on overseas tours for Williment Travel Group, playing tennis, bike riding and tramping. He is married to Carolyn with two grown up sons and lives in Waikanae. Murray is an Authorised Financial Adviser, contracted to AdviceFirst, and regulated by the Financial Markets Authority.
