ACORD (Association for Cooperative Operations Research and Development) is a global, nonprofit organization serving the insurance industry. ACORD enables greater efficiency, cost savings and data quality for all parties in the insurance value chain through the development of open consensus data standards along with tools to assist in their implementation. ACORD promotes technological and business innovation through the Insurance Innovation Challenge, an annual event that seeks individuals and organizations who demonstrate the ability to develop new products and services that bring positive change to the insurance industry. Gary Hoberman is Executive Vice President and CO-CIO of MetLife. In his role, Hoberman manages technology for MetLife's businesses throughout Americas, EMEA, and APAC. Hoberman focuses on driving emerging technologies to leapfrog the insurance industry ahead. Hoberman has more than 21 years of experience in leading application development within financial services. Prior to MetLife, Hoberman was Managing Director within Citigroup’s Operations and Technology group where he was an award-winning innovator, leading multiple patents across mobile, e-Commerce and social media.
Robert B KELLY
Robert’s 45 years in insurance has seen him become an influential industry leader. He’s been at the helm of Steadfast Group for more than 20 years, and in that time has led the company to be the largest general insurance broker network and underwriting agency group in Australia and New Zealand as well as an ASX 200 listed company. He has been ranked as one of the most influential people in insurance, is a Fellow of the National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) and 2016 winner of the Lex McKeown Trophy for his contribution to the industry and insurance broking. He is a Senior Associate of ANZIIF Certified Insurance Professionals and holds Diplomas in Financial Services and in Occupational Health and Safety, and a Graduate Diploma in Australian Risk Management. Robert is a Director on the ACORD Global Board representing the Asia/Pacific region, giving him scope to influence the changing shape of the insurance industry. He was awarded the ACORD Rainmaker Award in 2014 in recognition of his outstanding achievements in championing insurance and business standards throughout Australia and abroad.
