Affinity Group Underwriters (AGU) conceives, develops and manages life and health insurance member benefit programs for sponsoring associations, affinity groups and employers. We are a partner and a resource for brokers, third-party administrators and insurance companies entering or expanding in the group life and health insurance markets. I'm an advocate for Employee Benefit modernization through continued training and software integration, I strive to stay ahead of the curve and offer my clients optimal solutions. I've built and sold successful insurance agencies and have cultivated a broad background in consultative selling, business development, and project management. I believe it is my innate ability to negotiate with diverse individuals across varied industries, paired with comprehensive industry knowledge, which has allowed me success thus far. I have a strong tie to family and I am an avid cyclist, I enjoy being outdoors and have completed several long rides to raise awareness for local charities. Some of my other achievements are: -Accomplished sales manager and senior employee benefits specialist with experience in a leading national insurance agency. -Proven ability to drive sales and increase revenue in competitive markets; built and sold successful agencies, including acquisition to the 13th largest agency in the United States. -Extensive training and hands-on experience in communications, market growth, and SaaS integration. Extensive utilization of ZyWave, ThinkHR, Compliance Dashboard & HR360 with prospects and clients. Skilled with CRMs including Salesforce. Advocate for modernizing initiatives.
Dave directs AGU’s social media marketing David Wyssoutreach as well as creating print and online marketing materials. He is the editor of PBXG (Publisher Benefits Exchange Group), AGU’s online benefits and human resources blog and LinkedIn group for publishers of community newspapers. Dave is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University. He is a part-time musician and a resident of Madrid, Spain, where he also teaches English.
