Chief Executive Officer
Andy Watson joined Ageas UK as the Managing Director, UK Retail in February 2010. He was responsible for leading the company’s UK retail strategy, building on the success of Ageas’s retail businesses; RIAS, Castle Cover, Kwik Fit Insurance Services and Ageas Insurance Solutions. In addition, Retail focuses on providing compelling propositions and first class service to customers through Ageas’ Affinity Partnerships strategy. In January 2013, Andy was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Ageas UK. With over 25 years experience in financial services, Andy has built a wealth of knowledge of the Insurance industry with previous senior management roles. Most recently he held the position of Head of Insurance UK at HSBC Insurance. Previously he was Managing Director UKI Partnerships at RBS and also worked for Cooperative Financial Services and Direct Line. Andy has an honours degree in Mathematics, holds a Fellowship of the Institute of Actuaries and successfully completed the General Manager Programme at Harvard Business School.

Ant Middle was appointed CEO of Ageas Retail in April 2015, reporting to Andy Watson, CEO Ageas UK. Ant is responsible for leading the fourth largest Personal Lines intermediary in the UK, including the Kwik Fit Insurance Services, Express Insurance Services, RIAS and Castle Cover brands, as well as Ageas Retail’s Partnership business, where Ant was previously Managing Director. Ant leads Ageas Retail’s Management Committee and is part of the UK Executive and Ageas UK Board which have responsibility for the strategic direction and delivery of the business plan across Ageas UK. Having joined Ageas in 2014 Ant has been responsible for developing Ageas’s proposition to target and attract new clients which includes the recently acquired business from Virgin Money and Volkswagen Financial Services. Ant has also provided support and expertise to the range of current partners including John Lewis and Age UK. With over 25 years in the insurance industry, Ant has built a wealth of knowledge including 15 years in the partnerships field. Ant joined from Aviva where he led their Bancassurance business across general insurance and life insurance, and previously worked for AXA leading both partnership and broker businesses. Ant is married with two daughters. He enjoys running, circuit training and is an avid follower of Southampton Football Club.

Fernley joined Ageas in 2010 and has held a number of senior financial and risk management positions within the Ageas UK Group. In January 2013, Fernley was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Ageas UK. With over 25 years experience in corporate finance and risk management, Fernley’s career has spanned professional services, utilities, commodity trading and insurance. Prior to working with Ageas, he spent six years with Aviva where he was Financial Management Director. Fernley is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wale
Francois-Xavier Boisseau

François-Xavier Boisseau joined the AXA Group in 1990 from SNPE. In 1993 he moved to the UK with AXA Insurance UK where he held various senior positions, including Director of Customer Service. In 1998 François-Xavier moved to AXA Global Risks as Deputy Managing Director, and he returned to AXA UK as Director of Underwriting and Claims in 2000. François-Xavier joined Groupama Insurance Company Limited as Managing Director in 2003 and was appointed Chief Executive Officer in November 2007. He has specific responsibilities for the operations and strategic direction of the UK group, together with ongoing liaison with Groupama in France. In April 2013, François-Xavier was appointed Chief Executive Officer, Insurance following Ageas’s acquisition of Groupama Insurance Company Limited.
