Our professional reputation is created on the excellence of our services. We make every effort to accommodate our clients needs, such as scheduling, responding to any question(s) the client's insurance company, financial institution may have. We invite our clients to be present, in fact, encourage them to be present during our survey. We make every effort to learn new developments in the marine and cargo industry, as well as marine and cargo surveying. We attend regular SCMC meetings at the regional and national level. We learn from seminars, technical presentations and marine publications. We maintain our certification by documenting our continuing education credits annually. Our service is full time marine surveying. We have no other association or interests with the marine industry, such as shipyards, insurance agency(s), ship brokers that would be a conflict of interest or appear to be a conflict of interest. Surveys are made without prejudice, to indicate clients are not obligated to accept recommendations described in the survey report. We consider each and every survey unique and special, requiring our unwavering course of concentration, thoroughness and attention to detail. Our reports are the narrative type report and include such topics as: Scope of Survey, Blocking of Vessel, Description of vessel, and General Arrangement of the interior. Under the subheading "Conditions Found" we discuss in detail our findings relevant to the hull topsides, deck, hull bottom (including apertures), steering system, machinery, electrical system, bilge pumping capability, lifesaving equipment, electronics, fuel system to name a few. Our list of "recommendations" provides great insight for our clients consideration and may serve as a "worklist" subsequent to our survey. Reports include our opinion as to fair market value and replacement value and close with a set of color photographs Our fees are very competitive with industry standards. Conscious of a client attempting to complete a picture of a case, we make every effort to deliver reports soonest after our survey. Capt. Alex Chen has owned and operated EAST CHINA ADJUSTERS & SURVEYORS CO., LTD.(EAST CHINA MARINE & CARGO SURVEYORS, INC.) since 2001. Starting in 1985, Alex engaged on seaman on various type of ocean-going vessel from third office to Master. About 15 years seaman's life has given Alex a rich experience upon the vessels, cargos and navigation, which was more benefit for his marine surveying work later. In 1999, he finished working on vessel and to do a marine surveyor in a famous firm in Shanghai. In 2000, he passed a strict examination of CIRC (China Insurance Regulatory Commission) and got the Loss Adjuster's certificate.Two years surveyor work brought him a lot of acknowledges on survey industry and necessary grounding to accurately assess damage of vessels and cargos. For further develop him, he set up an independent survey company as East China Marine & cargo Surveyors, Inc. Alex is acknowledged as one of the senior surveyors in China. Alex's expertise and knowledge are a much sought after commodity. With a background and training in the marine survey and insurance filed, Alex approaches his work with a precise scientific attitude: thorough and methodical. It has been a natural progression for Alex to transfer his vast experience into the past three years of surveying for East China Adjusters & Surveyors Co., Ltd.(East China Marine & cargo Surveyors, Inc.)
