Furthermore he has the following titles: President of the Technical Commission of IVR (Int. Jan has a Sea-going career as Deck Officer/Engineer on board reefer vessels, followed by 3 years shipping consultancy. He has been a surveyor at BMT Surveys since 1990 and is also dealing with cargo / nautical matters for the Antwerp office. Jan is a Registered surveyor with Dutch Association of Registered Surveyors.

Jean-Pierre has a 28 year seagoing career as Marine Engineer up to the rank of Chief Engineer. He was a Project Engineer for a five years working on the newbuilding and reconditioning of vessels in Africa. Furthermore he was a technical maintenance manager for four years for the Belgian navy.

After a Marine Engineer education, Johan gained experience in shipbuilding and offshore constructions as well as operating on board dredgers. He has trained engineers for tugs and dredgers. Johan has 10 years of experience in electro mechanic automation systems.

Karolien has has a Master of Science in Electromechanical Engineering, specialising in Marine Engineering and Naval Architecture, from the University of Ghent. She has 3.5 years experience as a marine surveyor in a classification society involved in ship in service as well as new construction. Karolien joined BMT Surveys in 2013.

Vincent has a Bachelor in Marine Engineering from the Antwerp Maritime Academy. He has 14 years’ experience as sea going marine engineer in the merchant marine, dredging and off-shore (oil & gas , wind power) sector. Vincent joined the Antwerp staff in 2017.
