Andy Morris
Director / Marine Surveyor
Andy is a marine engineer, who has spent 10 years at sea, within various senior positions on-board both general cargo, refrigerated and container vessels. On coming ashore, he spent 8 years within the UK port industry, both as port engineer and ultimately as port operations manager. Before joining BMT Surveys in 2013, he spent 2 years as a marine surveyor for an International Group P&I Club in London.
Anthony Gardner
Marine Surveyor
Anthony is a Master Mariner with many years’ experience in the maritime and offshore oil and gas industries. In addition to this shipping experience, Anthony has recently spent 5 years working in the offshore oil and gas industry as a Marine Supervisor on an FPSO. He is fully conversant with the particular demands of this industry. He specialises in the carriage and operation of liquid and gas carrying vessels and their cargoes.
Nick Dowden
Marine Surveyor
Nick is a Master Mariner with a seafaring career spanning 15 years. He has experience on a wide range of vessels including feeder, geared and fifth generation container ships, survey vessels, general cargo ships, VLCCs, offshore vessels as well as sail training ships. As well as his certificate of compentency, Nick holds an honours degree in Shipping Operations, post graduate certification and a range of specialist training qualifications for the offshore industry, including certification as an IMCA registered surveyor. He is an associate fellow of the Nautical Institute and a Freeman of the Honourable Company of Master Mariners. Before joining BMT Surveys in 2015, Nick spent two years as a marine warranty surveyor for a respected engineering consultancy in London where he was involved with various offshore construction projects, providing due diligence on a range of heavy lift, jack up and project cargo transportation vessels and barges.
