CWH Europe SARL France
66/1 rue Raymond Derain, 59700, Marcq-en-Baroeul, France
CWH Europe was officially formed on the 1st January 2006 upon being registered with the Chamber of Commerce in Lille, France. As of 1st January 2016 CWH Europe officially merged with SJ Marine & Transit Ltd. CWH Europe was created to fulfil a growing demand on behalf of (principally) United Kingdom based principles for surveys and investigations to be undertaken in Europe. Since the company has been established the source of the work undertaken has evolved. Although still fundamentally still operating on behalf of UK insurers, the company also undertakes surveys and investigations on behalf of insurers, brokers and fellow firms of surveyors based in France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Italy, Spain, Poland, Hungary and occasionally much further afield including the United States and the Far East. We have also evolved to provide a service for French and European insurers to perform surveys and investigations in the UK and Ireland. The Company is run by John Jackson, who has over 30 years experience in marine and goods in transit cargo surveying and loss adjusting and is a former partner in Clark Woodward Hungate and Company in the United Kingdom. CWH Europe specialises in all aspects of marine cargo surveys, loss investigations, goods in transit surveys and investigations, risk management studies, and recoveries. Since its formation the Company has received a growing number of instructions for surveys and investigations throughout Continental Europe thereby giving the venture a truly European feel and justifying the name, CWH Europe. The company operates from its offices in Lille, a location chosen for its access to the first class road, rail, and air network in France including TGV and Eurostar access to Paris, Brussels, London and beyond. Our offices are just 20km from the Belgian border, resulting in very easy access to Belgium and the Netherlands. This is especially useful for survey locations such as Zeebrugge, Antwerp, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, and Brussels. The Ruhr region of Germany can be reached in less than 3 hours. Due to the volume of instructions it normally proves possible to group surveys together region by region and/or country by country. The majority of surveys fall into this catergory, which serves to reduce travelling time and costs, thereby keeping fees at a very competitive rate. Urgent instructions such as refrigerated cargos can however be accomodated. Although CWH Europe was officially formed on the 1 January 2006, John Jackson has been living and working on the Continent since September 2003. During this period he has developed a wide network of agents throughout Europe, all of which he has met and worked either with or against and can therefore vouch for their expertise and efficiency. When absolutely necessary this network can be called upon. John has also recently added to the in-house CWH Europe survey team.
